Advancing Keloid Treatment: A Novel Multimodal Approach to Ear Keloids

This clinical study evaluates a novel multimodal approach to treating auricular keloids, combining surgical excision, autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and superficial radiation therapy (SRT). A retrospective analysis of 49 patients showed a 94% non-recurrence rate over a 2-year follow-up period, demonstrating the efficacy of this method in reducing keloid recurrence while maintaining aesthetic outcomes. The findings suggest this innovative combination therapy as a promising alternative for managing ear keloids, offering both physical and psychological benefits to patients.
