SAN ANTONIO – -It’s the most common cancer in the United States.

An estimated one in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetimes, but there’s a new technology that’s revolutionizing how patients are treated and it’s in the San Antonio area.

“I’ve had skin cancers now for over 30 years,” said patient Ron Lutz.

After enduring years of sun exposure in his youth, 72-year-old Lutz is now dealing with the damage.

He was recently diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma inside his ear.

“It’s a very difficult place, as you can imagine, to cut out,” he said.

So Lutz turned to Dr. Daniel Ladd at Tru-Skin Dermatology in Spring Branch and the SRT 100 Vision.
